En route to Ferly Glaise forest, the group take a flight over the mountains on the back of an ancient phoenix. They are taken one by one, but along the way, Krochus and Takree are dropped off somewhere each.
 
Krochus encounters the monks of Akisym in their temple, and has a lot of introspection during his stay.
 
Meanwhile Takree is dropped off at her home village, Gwil Farm. Perhaps the Phoenix knew she had some unresolved issues from her past...
